The Beginning... Summa Entertainment was founded by industry veteran and current CEO, Gabriel Buitrago. With headquarters in Miami Beach, FL, Gabriel's vision led him to seek out an experienced team of professionals that would help him create a company that would be at the forefront of Hispanic trends. Summa Entertainment can be defined as a company who's team possesses vast knowledge of the growing Hispanic market, who connects with target audiences and who has the resources to best satisfy client needs

Founder of Summa Entertainment, Gabriel Buitrago, began his career in the early 90's. As previous owner of boutique independent label Backstage Records, he made his mark in the Miami music scene by generating mainstream success for label talent that included DJ Laz, Danny D. and Planet Soul lead vocalist Nadine Renee among others. Thereafter, he was hired to head promotions for crossover acts at PolyGram and shortly after joined Sony Music's US-Latin division.

At Sony Music, Gabriel played an integral part in implementing strategies that would help established and developing acts tap into the mainstream and was key in achieving the mainstream radio chart success that was garnered in the late '90s by Ricky Martin's "Maria", Shakira's "Ojos Así", Elvis Crespo's "Suavemente", Son by Four's "A Puro Dolor" and Azul Azul's "La Bomba".

In the early 2000's, he joined the Universal Music family as head of Promotions for Latin urban label Machete Music where he successfully promoted and achieved radio success for urban artists such as Don Omar, Wisin & Yandel and Angel y Khriz. He would be ascended to Sr. National Director of Promotions for UMLE & Machete Music, and in his new position, he implemented key radio strategies that generated major radio success for artists including Enrique Iglesias, Juanes, Luis Fonsi, Paulina Rubio, Nelly Furtado and David Bisbal among others.
